REPORT – PLF FLAG Sunday 16th June 2019 – Paul Lawrie Golf Centre
Despite a heavy downpour at the beginning of the round for most of the Flag competitors, scoring was again excellent at the Devenick Course at Paul Lawrie Golf Centre. Just a few days after the venue hosted the Scottish Par 3 Championship it was in excellent condition.
Ollie Robertson played incredibly well for his first seven holes (he was two-under par gross standing on the 8th tee) before he ran in to a little trouble at the testing, water-lined hole. In the end, Ollie topped the U10s Boys section by getting round to the 11th hole with his 36 shots. Douglas Ross finished in 2nd place and Aidan Watson & Alan Tan tied for 3rd.
In the U10s Girls event, Ella Robertson did really well in her first ever Flag competition. Making it to the 5th hole. Amy Blackadder topped this section, reaching the 7th hole.
Evie McDonald saw off the challenge of her younger sister, Lily, as she won the U12s Girls by progressing to the 7th hole.
In the Under 12s Boys event, Oli Blackadder got to the 10th green with his shot allocation. Lorne McDonald was 2nd and Kyle Marshal 3rd.
